Newly Renovated!
The property on which Graystone Rental Lodge is located has historic significance to the local community of Coudersport, Pennsylvania. The land was originally purchased by the former Gray Chemical Company in nearby Roulette. On this site, the owner’s house was built to serve as a retreat for the executives of this successful company. For a brief time, around the 1940’s, the home was also a local steakhouse. Since that time, it has been home to many notable residents including well-known outdoor writers, Jim and Sylvia Bashline.
The rental lodge in which guests stay was originally built in the 1960’s and was used as a guest house for hunters when this area was considered a premier deer hunting region. Since that time, there have been some changes to the lodge, but it remains a perfect getaway for anyone who enjoys outdoor sports, or just wants to relax in a beautiful woodland environment.
